Second hand book shop

Ken Ryder and Denise Baldwin had been running the Friends secondhand bookshop for several years in the Old Stables at Red House. It was closed in 2019 for repairs but it is hoped will reopen when life returns to normal. When operating, volunteers help collect, sort and display books, including fiction, non fiction and a children's selection; they also help supervise. The comfortable layout with bunting, smart bookshelves and a quirky corner make it an interesting place to visit. Books are priced to encourage quick turnover.
When it is able to reopen The Friends' bookshop will be looking for book donations and volunteers. If you can help please make contact via the website.
The opening times are the same as the National Trust opening times.
